As with wooden clothes hangers, there are various materials used to manufacture metal clothes and coat hangers. These include aluminium, steel and stainless steel. The slightly flexible wire hangers are rarely used as coat hangers, as they usually have to carry a little more weight. Sturdier models made of steel, aluminium or stainless steel, on the other hand, are ideal for this purpose. Coloured in a bright red, yellow or green, our metal hangers pass as genuine designer coat hangers.
We use cold forming in the production process. With this method, the material for the coat hanger does not have to be heated before it can be moulded. Our CNC-controlled wire bending machine (a machine operated by control technology) can do this without the need for high temperatures. In this way, different types of wire can be bent into hangers without any problems. For Weber clothes hangers, we mainly use nickel-plated or chrome-plated stainless steel wire. However, wire with a brass or rose gold coating is also used. They are usually manufactured from a single piece. This means that in most cases the hangers do not have a swivelling hook, as this is welded to the hanger itself. Finally, the hangers can be provided with an anti-slip coating.
Metal brackets are manufactured from steel strip in large metal presses. In the first step, these presses cut the steel or stainless steel strip to the required lengths. Each piece of steel or stainless steel strip is formed into a U-shape during the cutting process. This technique ensures greater stability in the finished bracket. An anti-slip coating is also possible for these hangers. The stainless steel clothes hanger is also a very practical hanger as it has a rotating S-hook.
